About the Position & Requirements

n

We are seeking an experienced Beauty Therapist (Nail Technician) to join our friendly team on a full-time basis (75,000-85,000 per annum depending on level of experience, plus superannuation).

n

The successful candidate will provide professional manicure, pedicure, gel, Shellac, acrylic and nail art services while maintaining excellent hygiene and customer service standards. Applicants should hold a relevant qualification, have practical salon experience, robust attention to detail and the ability to work confidently in a busy environment. Availability to work weekends and public holidays is required.

- Consult with clients about their preferred nail shape, colour, design and treatment requirements.

- Provide basic advice on make-up colours or styles that complement the client's chosen nail look.

- Provide professional manicure and pedicure services, including nail preparation, shaping, cuticle care, buffing and polish application.

- Apply gel polish, Shellac, acrylic, dipping powder, builder gel, hard gel and nail extensions.

- Refill, maintain, repair and safely remove artificial nail products.

- Create French tips, ombré finishes, customised nail art and other decorative nail designs.

- Perform gel colour and French gel polish applications.
n
- Remove gel polish and acrylic/dipping powder products safely using appropriate techniques.

- Apply nail embellishments including nail art, diamonds and decorative charms.

- Provide spa pedicure treatments, including nail care, exfoliation, massage and moisturising as required.

- Assess the condition of clients' nails and recommend suitable strengthening, repair and aftercare treatments.

- Explain treatment procedures and advise clients on nail maintenance and suitable home-care products.

- Review treatment results and assess the suitability and performance of nail and beauty products based on client needs, application outcomes and client feedback.

- Recommend and sell suitable nail and beauty products.
n
- Manage appointments and maintain accurate client treatment records.

- Clean and sterilise tools, equipment and work areas in accordance with salon hygiene and safety procedures.

- Keep up to date with current nail trends, beauty products and application techniques.

- Assist other team members and perform other reasonable duties as directed by the Manager.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

- A relevant qualification in Beauty Therapy or a related field.
n
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar Beauty Therapist or Nail Technician role.
n
- Strong practical skills in manicures, pedicures, artificial nail applications, nail repairs and decorative nail art.

- Excellent attention to detail, customer service and communication skills.
n
- The ability to work effectively in a busy salon environment, both independently and as part of a team, with availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
