Skills & Experience

n

n
- Previous experience as kitchen hand/steward or similar in a hotel, pub, restaurant, or café.
n
- Robust understanding of food safety and OH&S; standards, with ability to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment.
n
- Ability to support daily kitchen operations efficiently and complete tasks as directed by senior chef.

- Washing dishes and kitchen equipment and keeping the kitchen clean and organised
n
- Skilled in minimizing waste through careful handling of food and resources.
n
- Positive attitude with strong communication skills and ability to foster teamwork within kitchen and service teams.
n
- Flexible and adaptable to varying shifts and tasks across different areas of the hotel.
n
- Physically capable of performing manual duties including lifting, standing for extended periods, and cleaning.
n
- Commitment to professional appearance and adherence to workplace policies and grooming standards.
n
- Willingness to participate in training sessions to develop culinary skills and grow within the team.
