We are seeking the services of an experienced, results driven, Operations manager to join our team in Smeaton Grange.

n

The successful candidate will have a professional and confident manner, will be positive in their approach to work, and take pride in their appearance.

Role Overview

n

Managing day to day operations within our transport division

n

Provide leadership across the team by implementing and coordinating risk-based operational plans, outputs and outcomes

n

Ensuring the operations team fulfil their individual roles while taking ownership efficiency and profitably over all facets of the operational floor.

n

Reporting to State Manager and working to ensure the best possible outcomes for the business while ensuring a safe environment

n

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

n





Ensuring staff levels are adequate for the work being completed on any given day

n

Ensure the productive loading of trailers to maximize profitability

n

Establish and maintain a safe work environment in line with Safe Work NSW and National safety legislation

n

Identify and manage areas within the business that are unproductive and manage Labor to fill those gaps

n

Ensure the drivers work hours are managed

n

The ability to discipline staff when necessary

n

Implement training and safety initiatives

n

Comply with company policies and legal guidelines

n

Skills and Experience

n

Strong transport knowledge

n

Proven leadership & management experience

n

Experience with freight programs

n

Ability to problem solve

n

Strong communications skills

n

Forklift licence (preferred)

n

Australian citizenship required for this position
