About the Role

n

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you'll play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of civil construction projects. Working collaboratively with our estimating and delivery teams, you'll contribute to successful tenders from initial review through to submission.

- Preparing quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
n
- Developing cost estimates for labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
n
- Talking with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing
n
- Reviewing project documentation to ensure pricing accuracy and completeness
n
- Preparing tender programs and contributing to construction methodologies
n
- Assisting with tender submissions and supporting bid documentation
n
- Supporting construction planning and costing strategies
n
- Maintaining estimating databases, benchmarking information and tender records
n
- Participating in tender reviews, handovers and continuous improvement initiatives
n

About You

n

You'll be a detail-oriented estimator who enjoys solving problems and working as part of a cooperative team.

n

Ideally, you'll bring:

n

n
- Local to the Brisbane Region essential
n
- Previous estimating experience within civil construction
n




- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
n
- Strong Excel skills and experience using Expert Estimator Software
n
- Experience using MS Project and basic programming skills
n
- Practical knowledge of civil construction methods,
n
- Subcontractor markets and supplier pricing
n
- Excellent analytical, organisational and time management skills
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
- The ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
n
- Site based experience, a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
