Pendergast Northwest Freight Services is seeking an experienced Truck Driver HC/MC to join our team in Tamworth, NSW. This is a full-time position that involves operating heavy and medium commercial vehicles to transport freight across the region. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers.

What you'll be doing
n
Operate (HC/MC class) to transport various types of freight
n
Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
n
Plan and undertake delivery routes in the most efficient manner while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
n
Liaise with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise
n
Maintain detailed trip records and documentation as required
n
Assist with the loading and unloading of freight as needed
n
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our transportation and logistics operations
n
What we're looking for
n
Hold a valid Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi-Combination (MC) driver's licence
n
Minimum 2 years' experience operating heavy or medium commercial vehicles
n
Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety regulations, and best practices for the transportation of freight
n
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills to navigate changing conditions and meet delivery deadlines
n
Physical fitness and the ability to assist with the loading and unloading of goods
n
A commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with dispatch, customers, and other stakeholders
