Sailors Rest is one of Geelong's premier waterfront venues, offering exceptional food, drinks and service in a vibrant waterfront setting. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team and help lead our front-of-house team.

About the Role

n

As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day operation of the restaurant by leading the front-of-house team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards.

n

You will work closely with the management team to create a positive workplace culture while ensuring smooth and efficient services during busy lunch/dinners and functions.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Lead and supervise the front-of-house team during service.

n

Deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable dining experiences.

n

Welcome guests and assist with seating and reservations.

n

Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues professionally.

n

Open and close the venue in line with company procedures.

n

Train, mentor and support new and existing team members.

n

Ensure food and beverage service meets company standards.

n

Monitor cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant.

n





Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure efficient service.

n

Maintain compliance with food safety, RSA and workplace health and safety requirements.

n

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.

About You

n

You are a motivated hospitality professional who enjoys working in a quick-paced environment and leading by example.

n

You will have:

n

Previous experience in a supervisory role.

n

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

n

Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

n

The ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems quickly.

n

Strong organisational and time management skills.

n

A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.

n

Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
