About the role

St John Ambulance Victoria is expanding our team of First Aid Trainers who deliver training and assessment to corporate and public clients and provide education to the public at community events.

n

They conduct training courses in accordance with national frameworks, training quality standards, as well as organisational policies, procedures and protocols.

n

The trainers provide excellent student experiences by delivering engaging training and assessment in first aid. The trainers will engage with members of the public in a range of community setting to promote first aid awareness and education.

n

This role will require travel to Melbourne metro and regional areas and applications are welcome from candidates in Greater Melbourne or regional Victoria.

n

The roles are available as part time (preferred) or casual or full time, please let us know your preference during the interview process.

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

n

n
- a positive & engaging communication style
n
- a relevant qualification for the delivery of Vocational Education & Training, with a minimum of Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
n
- Newly qualified trainers, or those currently studying Certificate IV Training and Assessment are encouraged to apply and will be supported by a comprehensive onboarding program.
n
- Experience as a first aid responder, healthcare professional, emergency management or a related field. Candidates from the electrical services industry, or childcare industry are also welcome.
n
- A demonstrated passion for training & education in the field of health, safety, first aid or another related field.
n
- A commitment to professional development and the delivery of the highest quality first aid training.
n
- Ability to administer first aid to own level of training.
n




- Basic IT skills and the ability and willingness to learn new technology.
n
- Have a current driver's license, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.
