Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Business Partner to provide expert Employee and Industrial Relations support across a diverse operational workforce. This role will partner closely with leaders to manage complex people matters, ensure compliance with employment legislation, and drive consistent people practices across multiple sites.
n The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to managers, bringing strong ER/IR expertise and the ability to navigate complex employee issues within a blue-collar environment. Regular travel to operational sites is required.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Provide expert advice and support to leaders on Employee Relations and Industrial Relations matters.
n
- Manage a high volume of complex ER cases, including disciplinary matters, misconduct investigations, grievances, performance management and terminations.
n
- Conduct and lead workplace investigations, ensuring procedural fairness and legally compliant outcomes.
n
- Coach and support managers through performance improvement processes and difficult employee conversations.
n
- Interpret and apply employment legislation, Up-to-date Awards, Enterprise Agreements and company policies.
n
- Partner with operational leaders to proactively identify and mitigate people-related risks.
n
- Prepare investigation findings, recommendations, formal correspondence and employment-related documentation.
n
- Support dispute resolution and facilitate positive workplace outcomes.
n
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple sites and business units.
n
- Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures and best-practice people management principles.
n
- Assist with organisational change initiatives, workforce planning and other people projects as required.
n
- Travel regularly to operational sites to provide hands‐on support and guidance to leaders.

Skills & Experience
n
n
- Demonstrated experience in an Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, HR Business Partner or similar role.
n
- Strong experience managing complex ER and IR matters from commencement through to resolution.
n
- Proven capability conducting workplace investigations and disciplinary processes.
n
- Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements and industrial relations frameworks.
n
- Experience working within a blue-collar, operational, industrial or unionised environment.
n
- Ability to build credibility and influence leaders at all levels.
n
- Strong case management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- High level of judgement, resilience and ability to manage sensitive matters confidentially.
n
- Willingness to travel regularly between sites.
n
