Walkers is one of Geelong's leading family owned and operated companies, specialising in Plaster, Insulation, Cladding, Tiles and Bathware — supply and install. Established in 1906, we've built our reputation on trusted service across every part of the business.

We're looking for a driven, customer-focused sales skilled to join our Supply & Install team, owning conversion and sales delivery for our builder, owner-builder and renovation accounts (under 50 homes).

This is a conversion role, not a cold-calling role. Your leads come warm — handed across from our Sales Rep team and Design Centre — and your job is speed, quality follow-through, and closing the deal.

What you'll be doing

- First point of contact for every phone, email and online enquiry — acknowledging leads within 24 hours
- Consulting with builders, site supervisors and project managers to understand the brief and present tailored quotes
- Running a disciplined follow-up cadence so no quote is left open-ended
- Owning revenue and margin targets for the under-50-home segment
- Keeping the CRM pipeline accurate and current, logging every touchpoint as it happens




- Personally handing each job over to our delivery team, so every customer has a named contact from day one
- Following up on completed jobs, requesting Google reviews, and capturing customer satisfaction feedback
- Organising photos of completed jobs for social media posts with the blessing from the builder

What we're looking for

- 3+ years' sales experience in building, construction or trade-adjacent products (tiles, bathware, joinery, plaster, timber, flooring) preferred
- A demonstrated track record of converting warm or inbound leads at a high rate
- Confidence presenting and consulting directly with builders, site supervisors and project managers
- Commercially numerate — able to read a quote for margin, not just top-line revenue
- Strong CRM discipline and the ability to manage a high volume of concurrent leads and quotes (20–30 at a time) without anything sitting unactioned
- Comfortable working solo, without support staff, from day one
