The position is within a current lab in the process of achieving NATA accreditation. You will conduct stability testing on cosmetic and personal care formulations (skincare, haircare, colour cosmetics, fragrance, etc.).

The role includes basic testing of cosmetic products – pH, viscosity & appearance – and full training will be provided on how to analyse the data and generate reports. We're looking for someone who wants to learn and build a long-term career in this field, working autonomously in the lab and backed by a supportive team environment.

Position Summary

Hours

n

Part-time to start: 4 hours per day, 5 days per week (20 hours/week). There is potential to move to full-time hours as the lab and business grow, for the right candidate who is interested in that path.

Key Responsibilities

n
- Basic lab testing of cosmetic products and recording results
n
- Liaise with our Head of Cosmetic to learn how to generate reports
n
- Receive, register, label, store, and maintain traceability of all test samples throughout the testing lifecycle
n
- Assist in reviewing and trending stability data to support shelf-life determination and product performance assessments
n
- Participate in root cause investigations, deviations, out-of-specification (OOS) investigations, CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement activities
n
- Maintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation including raw data, worksheets, equipment records, calibration logs, and controlled documents
n
- Assist with internal audits, proficiency testing, method verification, and activities required to establish and maintain NATA accreditation
n

Skills & Experience

n
- Diploma or Graduate in cosmetic chemistry (advantage)
n
- Interest in cosmetics and personal care
n
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
n
- No prior lab experience is required, however it would be an advantage
n
- Ability to learn new laboratory techniques and work effectively under supervision
