Are you an experienced Electrical Estimator with a strong background in electrical contracting? Or an Electrical Project Manager looking to make the move into a more commercially focused estimating position?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established electrical contractor delivering a diverse range of projects across Melbourne.

You’ll play a key role in managing the estimating function, taking ownership of tenders and pricing while working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams. The business has a strong pipeline of upcoming projects and is looking for someone who can bring strong commercial awareness and technical electrical knowledge to the role.

The company delivers electrical solutions across a range of commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects. With continued growth and a robust pipeline of tenders, they are looking for an experienced professional who can contribute to the success of the business and play an important role within the estimating function.

The Role:

- Lead the preparation of electrical estimates and tender submissions across a range of projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and documentation to determine scope, risks and pricing strategy.




- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Develop accurate labour, material and subcontractor pricing.
- Review project costs, risks, exclusions and opportunities throughout the tender process.
- Work closely with senior management on tender reviews and pricing strategy.
- Liaise with clients, builders, consultants and internal project teams.
- Support the successful handover of awarded projects to the delivery team.
- Assist with the development and improvement of estimating processes and systems.
- Mentor and support junior estimators where required.

Requirements:

- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator, Senior Electrical Estimator or similar within the electrical contracting industry or similar.
- Electrical Project Managers with strong estimating/tendering experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations and project costings.
- Experience liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
