Senior Legal Counsel, ANZ

n

We are seeking a highly capable and commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel, ANZ to lead and manage all legal matters across Australia and New Zealand.

n

This is a pivotal, business-facing role where you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic legal guidance across corporate, commercial, regulatory, and dispute matters. You will play a critical role in protecting DKSH's interests while enabling business growth across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Legal Advisory

n

n
- Provide expert, commercially pragmatic advice on corporate, commercial, regulatory, employment, IP, and competition law matters
n
- Translate complex legal risks into transparent, actionable business solutions
n
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks across ANZ
n
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, policies, and ethical standards
n

Commercial & Contracting

n

n
- Lead contract strategy, negotiation, and lifecycle management
n




- Drive continuous improvement in contracting processes and risk controls
n
- Oversee key litigation, disputes, and arbitration matters
n
- Manage and optimise relationships with external legal counsel
n

n

Regulatory & External Engagement

n

n
- Build and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and government bodies
n
- Manage licensing, approvals, and regulatory compliance obligations
n

n

Legal Operations & Projects

n

n
- Implement best-practice legal processes and reporting frameworks
n
- Lead due diligence and legal projects to support business transformation and growth
n

n

What You'll Bring

n

n
- Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Australia
n
- 7+ years' experience in a top‐tier or mid‐tier law firm and/or in-house role
n
- Strong expertise in corporate and commercial law within ANZ
n
- Experience across litigation, regulatory engagement, and complex legal matters
n
- Commercially astute with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
n
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
n
- Ability to operate autonomously and manage competing priorities
n
- High level of integrity and discretion
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
