A major Australian energy and utilities business is rolling out a modern Field Service Management platform as part of a broader enterprise transformation. They're now looking for a Solution Architect to help steer the technical direction of the program, working alongside enterprise architects, senior business stakeholders and delivery partners.

n

This is a genuinely broad architecture mandate, covering everything from early-stage strategy and roadmap definition through to hands‐on design work and delivery oversight.

Responsibilities

n

You'll take ownership of the solution architecture across the FSM program, which means:

n

Setting Direction

n

n
- Defining the target‐state architecture, along with the roadmap, design principles and technical standards that will get the program there
n
- Building out architecture strategy and implementation methodology in collaboration with enterprise architecture and digital leadership
n

n

Designing the Solution

n

n
- Turning business and technical requirements into designs that are scalable, secure and genuinely fit for purpose
n
- Producing the full suite of architecture documentation, functional, non‐functional and technical, including whitepapers and design specs
n




- Working through how recent capability will integrate with existing enterprise and legacy systems without compromising governance or security posture
n

Delivering and Embedding

n

n
- Staying closely involved through planning, blueprint, build and delivery, not just the upfront design phase
n
- Partnering with System Integrators, digital teams and business leads to keep architecture outcomes on track
n
- Feeding into design reviews, governance forums and broader architecture best practice
n
- Coaching delivery teams along the way and keeping the focus on real operational and user experience improvements
n

Experience & Skills Required

n

n
- 10+ years working as a Solution or Enterprise Architect on complex transformation programs, ideally within utilities or other asset‐intensive environments
n
- Genuine depth in Field Service Management platforms, IFS FSM Cloud experience would be ideal
n
- Strong SAP ecosystem exposure across FI/CO, PM, MM, PS, IS‐U, BW, SAP BTP, Integration Suite, GRC and UX
n
- Comfortable operating across both Agile and Waterfall delivery models
n
- Solid foundations in cloud architecture, application design, integration and data management
n
- A background that spans system design, migration, configuration and enterprise integration work
n
- The stakeholder management skills to work credibly with executives, technical teams and SI partners alike
n
