Community Facilities Officer Ballina Shire Council | Grade 7 | Full Time |3-6 months

Ballina Shire Council is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Community Facilities Officer to support the day-to-day operations of our community and cultural venues across the shire.

Based across facilities including the Ballina Indoor Sports Centre, Alstonville Cultural Centre and Lennox Head Cultural Centre , this varied role combines customer service, administration, facility operations and event support.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer service to facility users and visitors.
- Manage bookings, enquiries, invoicing and administrative tasks.
- Assist with venue hire coordination, events and community programs.
- Set up and pack down rooms and equipment for functions and activities.
- Maintain facility presentation through general cleaning and tidying.
- Support volunteers and contribute to a positive team workplace.

About You

You will have:





- Strong customer service and administrative experience.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A Class C Driver Licence.
- Willingness to undertake manual handling tasks and work across various Council facilities.

Experience in events, marketing, social media, volunteer supervision, commercial cleaning, First Aid and basic AV systems will be highly regarded.

This position requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required, and to work at various locations throughout the Ballina Shire.
