We're looking for a highly organised and commercially aware Production Planner to join our manufacturing team in Bella Vista.

n

About You

n

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role is critical in ensuring our production plans are realistic, capacity-aligned and set up for success, enabling on time delivery while maintaining operational stability.

n

You'll sit at the centre of our operations,



translating customer demand into executable production schedules that balance labour, materials, equipment, and compliance requirements.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

n

n
- Develop short, medium, and long-term production schedules aligned to capacity, labour, and equipment
n
- Translate sales orders and forecasts into achievable production plans
n
- Sequence work to optimise efficiency, minimise downtime, and meet quality standards
n
- Adjust plans in response to changing priorities, material availability, or operational constraints
n

ERP & Reporting

n

n
- Maintain accurate schedules and capacity data within the ERP system
n
- Create and release production jobs
n
- Monitor schedule adherence, utilisation, and delivery performance
n
- Provide transparent updates on production status, risks, and recovery actions
n

n

Stakeholder Coordination

n

n
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Account teams
n
- Communicate plans, changes, and risks clearly across the business
n
- Support customer delivery expectations with accurate timelines and updates
n

n

Capacity & Risk Management

n

n
- Identify capacity constraints and production risks early
n
- Escalate issues with clear data and proposed solutions
n




- Support cross-functional problem solving to maintain delivery performance
n

n

Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline
n
- Minimum 5–7 years' experience in a Production Planning or Scheduling role
n
- Experience within electronics manufacturing (PCBA highly regarded)
n
- Strong understanding of the relationship between customer expectations, purchasing constraints, and manufacturing processes
n
- Demonstrated experience in production planning within a high-mix manufacturing environment
n
- Strong understanding of PCBA processes including SMT, through-hole, testing, and box build
n
- Proven ability to balance customer demand with capacity, labour, materials, and equipment
n
- Advanced experience using ERP/MRP systems for scheduling, job creation, and capacity planning
n
- High attention to detail with a robust focus on data accuracy and planning discipline
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to adapt quickly to change
n
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
n
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
n
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
