Machine Operator - 3 Positions Available

Charters Paper is looking for experienced machine operators with strong mechanical aptitude to join and be a part of our manufacturing team. With 3 positions available across Day, Afternoon & Night shift, MachineOperatorsare responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Robo Converters, Paper Slitter, Garant Printing BagMachine, and Jenna JahnMachine.

The role ensures products are manufactured to customer specifications, quality standards, and production schedules while maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- MachineOperations
n
- Set up, operate, and monitor the Machines.
n
- Completemachinechangeovers and product setups in accordance with job requirements.
n
- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain efficiency and quality.
n
- Achieve daily production targets and schedules.
n

n

Quality Assurance

n

n
- Conduct routine quality inspections throughout production runs.
n
- Verify product dimensions, print quality, winding quality, and packaging standards.
n
- Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming products.
n
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
n

n

Safety & Compliance

n

n
- Follow all Charters Paper safety policies and procedures.
n
- Conduct pre-start safety checks onmachinery and equipment.
n




- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
n
- Report hazards, incidents, equipment faults, and near misses immediately.
n
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
n

n

Maintenance & Housekeeping

n

n
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
n
- Assist maintenance personnel duringmachinerepairs and breakdowns.
n
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas.
n
- Ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly.
n
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
n
- Support team members and assist withoperatortraining when required.
n
- Contribute to achieving operational and customer service objectives.
n

Skills & Experience

- Experience operating manufacturing or convertingmachinery.
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
n
- Ability to work accurately and safely in a fast-paced production environment.
n
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
n
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
