Applying AI, advanced analytics and asset intelligence to Australia's electricity networks and critical infrastructure. This isn't another leadership role inside an established AI hierarchy. You'll influence the strategy, solutions, clients and growth of the practice — backed by an international technology, consulting and engineering organisation with established utility expertise and global capability.

It's an opportunity to build something, without starting from nothing.

Our customer operates at the intersection of Data + AI + energy + engineering + physical infrastructure . You'll apply AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, IoT and digital twins to real operational challenges including asset performance, predictive maintenance, network resilience and operational decision-making. You'll have the opportunity to:

- Build and shape the Australian Data & AI practice.
- Develop solutions for major Australian utilities.
- Work with senior client, engineering, digital and operational leaders.
- Access global Data & AI, IoT, digital twin and engineering capability.
- Build capability and teams as the practice grows.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Digital , you'll lead the Data & AI proposition, initially focused on Australian electricity distribution networks and Asset Intelligence and Operational Excellence . You'll combine practice leadership, Data & AI expertise, commercial consulting and delivery leadership , including:





- Defining the Australian Data & AI strategy.
- Identifying high-value AI opportunities across utilities.
- Building senior client relationships and shaping transformation programs.
- Developing commercially viable Data & AI solutions.
- Supporting go-to-market, bids and proposals.
- Providing senior oversight of Data & AI engagements.

About you

We're not looking for someone who ticks every technical box. We're looking for the right combination of Data & AI leadership, electricity-sector knowledge and consulting/commercial credibility . Ideally, you'll bring:

- Senior experience across Data, AI, analytics, asset intelligence or digital transformation.
- Strong exposure to electricity, utilities or asset-intensive infrastructure.
- Understanding of Australian electricity distribution networks.
- Experience applying Data & AI to operational or asset-management challenges.
- Robust senior client and stakeholder skills.
- Consulting, professional services or comparable commercial experience.
- Experience shaping solutions and taking new capabilities to market.

Experience with Australian electricity networks such would be highly regarded.

Exposure to AI/ML, predictive analytics, IoT, digital twins, IT/OT/ET integration and asset performance will also be valuable.

Location & remuneration Sydney is preferred , with a hybrid working model from their Sydney CBD office. Adelaide & Brisbane candidates are encouraged to apply, and exceptional candidates elsewhere in Australia may be considered.
