StarX Technology Solutions is a growing Australian technology company specialising in website development, mobile applications, and custom software solutions. We partner with clients across multiple industries to design and deliver practical, scalable digital products that drive business growth.

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to take ownership of requirement analysis and client engagement, and to play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery from discovery through to launch.

About the Role

As a Business Analyst, you will act as the critical bridge between our clients and technical development teams. You will lead requirement gathering, translate business needs into clear functional specifications, and work closely with developers, designers, and project managers to ensure solutions are delivered accurately, on time, and within scope.

This role suits someone with solid IT / software project experience who is comfortable working independently and managing multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Lead client meetings and workshops to understand business objectives, processes, and pain points

- Act as the main point of contact for requirement clarification throughout the project lifecycle

- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery

Requirements Analysis & Documentation

- Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business and functional requirements

- Produce high-quality documentation including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and wireframes

- Translate complex business needs into clear,



actionable requirements for development teams

Agile Delivery & Development Support

- Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks to manage and refine product backlogs

- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

- Support development teams with requirement clarification during build phases

Testing & Solution Validation

- Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

- Ensure delivered solutions meet agreed requirements and business objectives

- Assist in preparing user guides and handover documentation where required

What We’re Looking For

Experience

- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT / software development environment

- Experience working on web, mobile, or custom software projects is highly preferred

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

- Strong ability to analyse business processes and identify improvement opportunities

- Comfortable working with ambiguity and turning ideas into structured solutions

Communication Skills

- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

- Mandarin proficiency is highly regarded

- Confident facilitating workshops and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Technical Knowledge

- Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies

- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar

- Ability to work closely with developers and understand technical constraints
