About the Role: Our restaurant is looking for a qualified chef that can manage a busy kitchen which serves food for UP TO 120 SEATS and of course our amazing functions. Showcasing a proven track record of leading by example, and a passion to deliver quality food consistently, the right Chef will:

n

Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs and order food supplies Deliver high quality dishes, consistently well, in a fast-paced, busy environment. Work fast, clean and able to motivate the team through leading by example

n

Discuss any food preparation issues with managers and other staff Demonstrate techniques and advice on cooking procedures Meet all health and hygiene requirements

n

Demonstrated ability to maintain food safety standards and understanding of HACCP.



Excellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniques and styles. Select and train staff if needed

Freeze and preserve foods accordingly About you: You must possess the following skills:

n

Equivalent of Australian certificate III or higher in commercial cookery plus 2 year work experience in relevant roles. Working and thriving under time pressure Pride in your food presentation

n

Excellent food hygiene and safety practices High Personal grooming standards Can do attitude with a passion for the Hospitality industry

n

Amazing time management skills and work ethic Must have a LOVE for food and a great attitude Friendly and outgoing personality (Essential)
