Our unique urban oasis, located in the vibrant Bourke & Bowden, Alexandria, is a sanctuary dedicated to rest, relaxation, and self-care—helping guests escape the city and prioritise their wellbeing.

As Assistant Manager, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Bathhouse Manager in daily operations, ensuring that our guests' well‐being is always a top priority.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, creating a positive work environment, and leading a team through challenges with efficiency and care.

The salary package includes:
n
Base salary of $72,500; plus
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Supervise front desk and guest service staff, offering guidance and support. Train team on company policies and customer service standards.
n
- Welcome guests and exceed their expectations for a superior wellness experience.
n
- Manage daily operations, ensuring adherence to procedures. Support staff, address issues promptly, and make decisions during emergencies, escalating when needed.
n
- Manage bathhouse operations including bookings, refunds, guest inquiries, and coordination with massage therapists.
n
- Serve as the primary contact for operational or rostering queries in the absence of the Bathhouse Manager.
n
- Support pricing strategies and revenue optimisation to boost profitability.
n
- Monitor booking trends, adjust rates, and identify upselling or cross‐selling opportunities for increased revenue.
n
- Utilise effective sales techniques to upsell and cross‐sell retail products, maximising revenue opportunities.
n
- Handle group booking inquiries and ensure facilities are clean, safe, and compliant.
n
- Manage stock, liaise with suppliers, and maintain cleanliness standards.
n
- Handle guest complaints empathetically, investigate thoroughly, find resolutions, document, follow up for satisfaction, prevent future issues.
n
- Supervise shift operations, ensure checklist compliance, monitor staff, provide guidance, intervene for deviations, lead in emergencies, and elevate to senior management.
n
- Maintain First Aid certification and uphold health and safety standards.
n
- Manage hiring and firing processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
n
- Conduct operational audits and report findings to senior management.
n
n
Requirements:
n
n
- Passion for the health and wellness industry.
n
- Previous background in team supervision or management preferred.
n
- Outstanding customer service skills with a problem‐solving mindset.
n
- Previous experience in service, sales, retail or hospitality industries, such as hotels, spas or airlines is preferred.
n
- Strong organisational and communication abilities.
n
- Friendly demeanour and a proactive attitude.
n
- Impeccable grooming and presentation.
n
- Proficiency in scheduling software and administrative tasks.
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
n
- Flexibility to work weekends, nights, holidays, and school breaks as needed.
n
