About the Role

n

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intermediate Accountant to join our Sydney Olympic Park team. Reporting to a Client Manager, you will work across a diverse client base, preparing compliance work and building the technical and client-facing skills that will define the next stage of your career.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

n

As an Intermediate Accountant, and as part of the broader team, you are required to undertake all your duties with enthusiasm and dedication. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:

- Financial Accounts
n
- Business Activity Statements
n
- Instalment Activity Statements
n
- Liaising with clients
n
- Liaising with the ATO
n
- Liaising with ASIC
n
- Staff training preparation and presentation
n
- Appearing in material that may be posted and broadcast online
n
- Adherence to all Workplace Health and Safety guidelines for all staff members
n
- Adherence to all the organisation's employment policies
n




- Any other duties as directed by the employer
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

n

n
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
n
- Experience in an Australian public practice / accounting firm environment
n
- Sound experience preparing income tax returns, financial statements and BAS/IAS across a range of entity types (individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships)
n
- Proficiency with Xero (and ideally Xero Practice Manager) and the Microsoft Office suite
n
- CA or CPA qualification underway or a commitment to commence
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence liaising with clients
n
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
n
- Ability to work in office full time
n
