Commercial/Procurement Manager

The Opportunity

This is a newly created, greenfield Commercial/Procurement Manager role that is central to the organisation's procurement transformation. With no direct reports, you will have the unique opportunity to build the procurement function from the ground up, establishing foundational frameworks, processes, and governance.

This role offers significant exposure to senior executives, including the CIO, CFO, and COO, and the chance to influence approximately $60 million in total addressable spend, with a strong focus on corporate and IT procurement.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Procurement Manager / Commercial Manager, you will:

Develop procurement policies, governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, supplier segmentation models, and sourcing methodologies to build credibility and structure within the organisation.

Lead Commercial & Contract Management

Oversee sourcing activities, negotiate contracts, establish contract management processes, manage renewals, and ensure supplier obligations are met while delivering measurable cost savings.

Drive Spend Management

Take ownership of a $60 million spend portfolio, with a focus on improving visibility, governance, and commercial outcomes, particularly across IT-related expenditures.

Engage with Key Stakeholders

Build strong relationships with senior executives, including the CIO, CFO, COO, & other key leaders, to ensure alignment and buy-in for procurement initiatives.

Deliver Quick Wins and Long-Term Value

Balance immediate cost-saving opportunities with the development of sustainable procurement capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

Technical Expertise:

- Proven experience in procurement transformation and function setup.
- Strong strategic sourcing and contract negotiation skills.




- Deep expertise in IT procurement and commercial management.
- Familiarity with regulated industries and compliance requirements.
