About The Role

Because of their immense growth in their Data Engineering portfolio, an exciting prospect has come up in one of their Sydney offices. Are you an experienced data leader looking to drive the strategy and architecture of a strategic client data platform? In this dynamic position, you will own the delivery of the Enterprise Client Data Hub, leading the way across key domains like counterparty, agreements, and opportunity data. You will shape modern Lakehouse, event-driven, and API integration patterns while providing hands‑on technical leadership to engineering teams to deliver authoritative, enterprise-wide client intelligence.

Skill Sets

You need to have the following skill sets to excel in this role:

- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data platforms, data engineering functions, or customer data product teams.
- Strong architectural expertise in modern ecosystems, including Lakehouse, event-driven architecture, streaming, APIs, and distributed platforms.
- Hands‑on experience setting technical direction and delivering across batch, real‑time, and event‑driven data use cases.
- Deep knowledge of data products, schemas,



data contracts, taxonomy, data governance, MDM, and regulatory data controls.
- Strong stakeholder management skills alongside financial services experience, with familiarity in client, counterparty, agreement, or Salesforce data highly regarded.

Responsibilities

- Own the strategy, architecture alignment, and delivery of the strategic Enterprise Client Data Hub.
- Lead delivery across key domains including counterparty, agreements, and opportunity data using modern Lakehouse and event-driven patterns.
- Define and manage reusable data products, schemas, data contracts, and governance frameworks to ensure trusted data quality.
- Collaborate closely with business, architecture, and engineering stakeholders to shape the overall data roadmap and technical direction.
- Provide solid technical leadership and direction to growing data engineering teams across connected enterprise programs.

It is an exceptional opportunity for someone who has worked as a Data Tech Lead with experience in enterprise-scale data platforms and modern Lakehouse architecture and has experience working in Australian Banks and financial services organisations.
