The Role
- Lead the delivery of stormwater and flood-focused urban development projects from concept through to detailed design
- Take ownership of design outputs including reports, calculations, models, drawings and technical documentation
- Work closely with clients, councils and internal multidisciplinary teams across a range of development projects
- Provide technical review and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers within the team
- Contribute to project management, coordination and overall delivery outcomes across multiple concurrent projects
- Support construction phase activities including RFIs and technical queries where required
The Responsibilities
- Deliver stormwater management,
flood risk and WSUD solutions across urban development projects
- Prepare and review DRAINS and MUSIC models along with associated engineering documentation
- Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders as a key technical contact throughout project delivery
- Coordinate with internal civil, water and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth project outcomes
- Assist in the preparation of tenders, technical submissions and engineering reports
- Ensure designs align with council standards, authority requirements and relevant NSW planning frameworks
The Requirements
- Around 7+ years’ experience within stormwater, flood or urban water engineering within NSW
- Strong capability in DRAINS and MUSIC modelling, experience with TUFLOW, HEC-RAS or 12d highly regarded
- Experience operating in a client-facing capacity and managing project communication
- Knowledge of NSW planning pathways, council requirements and approval processes
- CPEng or working towards Chartership viewed favourably
