Gulf Civil Construction is a TMR-prequalified civil contractor delivering TMR and Council projects, subdivisions, sewer and watermain infrastructure, road construction/rehabilitation and bulk earthworks across Queensland.

We're looking for an experienced Supervisor to oversee the installation of sewer and water mains, maintenance holes (cast in-situ and precast), and earthworks packages on long-term projects across Brisbane and Northern Queensland. This is a hands-on leadership role on challenging, specialised infrastructure projects with a genuine pipeline of ongoing work.

The Role

n

As Supervisor, you'll have full control of the onsite sewer and water main installation and earthworks scope, leading the crew day-to-day while keeping the project on programme, on budget, safe, and compliant with project specifications.

Responsibilities

n

Direct and supervise leading hands, plant operators, labourers and subcontractors on site.

n

Plan and sequence sewer, water main and earthworks activities to programme.

n

Read plans, shoot levels, set lasers and manage survey requirements.

n

Arrange plant, labour and material resources for the project.

n

Implement and monitor HS&E; and environmental compliance.

n

Maintain daily site records and report/action non-conformances.

n





Ensure works meet client quality specifications and obtain client sign-off on completed works.

n

Liaise with the Project Manager on progress, risks and resourcing.

n

What You'll Bring — Essential

n

In-depth knowledge of sewer and water main construction.

n

Strong earthworks experience.

n

Minimum 5 years' experience in pipeline/civil construction, including previous supervisory experience.

n

Ability to read plans, shoot levels and set lasers.

n

Proven ability to lead a crew and deliver to a fixed programme.

n

Sound working knowledge of HS&E; requirements.

n

Capability to operate machinery (excavators, rollers, etc.) when required.

n

Track record of achieving client sign-off for quality and compliance on completed works.

n

Current driver's licence and Construction White Card.

n

Willingness to work on regional and remote project sites across Brisbane and Northern Queensland.

n

Certificate III in Pipelaying (or equivalent trade background)

n

PE welding experience

n

Confined Space ticket

n

Working at Heights ticket

n

Experience installing concrete structures, man hole and pits

n
