Are you an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations and Victorian Government procurement? This is an excellent opportunity to lead a high-performing procurement function, delivering complex sourcing projects that create value, manage risk and support critical organisational outcomes. It is a 3 months contract role.

About the Role

n

As the Procurement Lead, you will oversee strategic sourcing activities across a diverse portfolio of goods and services. You will provide expert procurement advice, develop sourcing strategies, lead complex tender processes and negotiate high-value contracts, ensuring compliance with Victorian Government procurement policies and achieving strong commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and deliver end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing activities across multiple categories.
n
- Develop procurement strategies, lead complex tender processes and negotiate commercial agreements.
n
- Manage supplier relationships,



contract performance and procurement risk while ensuring compliance with Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) policies and relevant legislation.
n
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of procurement professionals. |
n
- Partner with internal stakeholders to provide strategic procurement advice and support business objectives.
n
- Drive procurement process improvements, supplier performance initiatives and value-for-money outcomes.
n

To be successful, you will bring:

n

- Extensive experience leading procurement or strategic sourcing functions within a complex organisation.
n
- Demonstrated experience applying Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) policies and procurement frameworks.
n
- Proven success managing complex tenders, supplier negotiations and contract management.
n
- Solid commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
n
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across all organisational levels.
n
- Public sector procurement experience will be highly regarded.
