Shape the Future of Asset Management
n
At COSOL, we've spent 25 years helping Australia's most asset-intensive industries work smarter. From mining and oil & gas to utilities, energy, and transport — we partner with the organisations that keep the country running, delivering strategic asset management solutions that make a real difference on the ground.
n
We're growing our Advisory practice, and we're looking for a Senior Consultant who's ready to step into meaningful client engagements, lead project workstreams, and help shape what best-practice asset management looks like for some of Australia's biggest industrial operations.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
Delivering for Clients
n
n
- Lead defined project workstreams and small-to-medium client engagements with genuine autonomy
n
- Develop and implement asset management solutions — CMMS master data strategies, maintenance frameworks, reliability programs, defect elimination processes
n
- Produce high-quality deliverables: gap analyses, strategy documents, business cases, and implementation roadmaps
n
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions with client operational and maintenance teams
n
- Build trusted relationships across client site and leadership teams
n
n
Growing the Business
n
n
- Identify organic growth opportunities within your engagements and communicate them to the team
n
- Contribute to proposals, business cases, and market research in support of business development
n
- Represent COSOL professionally — on site, in the boardroom, and everywhere in between
n
n
Building the Practice
n
n
- Mentor and coach Consultants and Analysts to drive quality delivery and career development
n
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, methodology development, and capability building
n
- Play an active role in the growth and culture of a high-performing advisory team
n
n
What You'll Bring
n
The non-negotiables:
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
n
- 6+ years of experience in asset management, reliability, maintenance, or operational consulting in heavy industry
n
- A genuine engineering background — mining, mechanical, reliability, maintenance, or electrical
n
- Demonstrated experience delivering CMMS, master data, or reliability improvement projects
n
- Real-world experience working in or alongside site operations in heavy industry environments
n
n
The skills that set you apart:
n
n
- Strong technical knowledge across asset management frameworks and standards — ISO 55000, RCM, FMEA, RCA
n
- A confident communicator who can hold the room with a maintenance planner and a CEO in the same week
n
- Proactive, delivery-focused, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy
n
- Someone who genuinely enjoys developing junior team members and building team capability
n
- A collaborator who thrives in a fast-moving, growth-oriented consulting environment
n
n
Certifications like CMRP or similar?
n
We'd love to hear about them.
n
Why COSOL?
n
n
- 25 years of deep industry expertise and a reputation that opens doors
n
- A growing Advisory practice with a clear pathway to Principal Consultant
n
- Work on genuinely complex, high-impact problems with Australia's leading industrial operators
