About the Role

n

This role combines technical troubleshooting with hands‐on bench repairs. You will diagnose faults, service a range of consumer technology, and ensure top‐tier performance post‐repair. Our client is currently seeing an increase in volume repairing high‐end vacuum cleaners.

Hours & Location

- Location: Macquarie Park, NSW (10 minutes from public transit)
n
- Employment Type: Ongoing Casual
n
- Days: Monday to Friday (occasional Weekend OT available)
n
- Shift Window: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Example shifts, 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM | 9:45 AM – 6:00 PM | 10:00 AM – 6:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

n

- Diagnostics & Repair: Identify faults and perform in‐house bench repairs on consumer products, including robot vacuums, coffee machines, and laptops.
n
- Quality Assurance: Execute thorough post‐repair safety and functional testing before release.
n
- Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training programs to adapt quickly to new product models.
n
- Workstation Standards: Maintain clean, safe, and productive work areas adhering to 5S methodology standards.
n
- Team & Operations Support: Assist with general warehouse tasks and workstation setups as required.
n
- Future Scope: Opportunity to transition into field service work as a Field Technician.

Candidate Profile

n

Essential Criteria

n

n
- Work Rights: Must currently reside in Australia with valid, full-time working rights.
n
- Technical Mindset: Must pass a practical on‐site assessment demonstrating sound diagnostic logic and comfort handling basic hand tools and testing apparatus.
n
- Adaptability: A proactive, flexible mindset with a willingness to assist in general workshop tasks.
n
- Physical Capability: Comfortable manually moving products weighing up to 15–20 kg.
n

Preferred Criteria

n

n
- Prior hands‐on experience (6+ months) repairing appliances or consumer tech is advantageous.
n
