An established renewable energy owner-operator with a high-performing Australian team and a proven track record in one of the most technically demanding segments in the energy sector: DC-coupled hybrid solar and BESS. With several projects currently in construction and a significant development pipeline, this business sits in rare company byconsistently building what they develop.
Position
This is a unique opportunity to hold full technical ownership across multiple DC-coupled hybrid projects simultaneously from concept design through to operations.
The most intensive period for this role is during contractor selection and early construction, where you will lead detailed design delivery.
Further responsibilities
- Depending on the project, lead Consultants on concept design or construction contractors (EPC / BOP) through an ECI or early works phase
- Ensures design outputs comply with planning consents and grid connection requirements, coordinating across all disciplines to achieve constructability and bankability.
- Analysis of LCOE when considering site layouts, equipment sizing and design of BOP packages
- Techno-commercial overview and negotiations for key pre-construction contracts including performance and availability guarantees
Ideal profile
- Above all, you will be comfortable working autonomously with full ownership of technical inputs across a projectand operating in a quick-paced environment with a constant balance of priorities and pressures
- You will possess a broad technical skillset (generalist) across development, early works and construction phases
- Experience with DC coupled hybrid solar & BESS projects is preferred, however project experience with utility solar and / or BESS will be considered
- Candidates with an understanding of AEMO's guidelines for revenue optimising systems and price forecasting will be viewed very favourably
