An opportunity has become available for a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist (Rehabilitation Physician) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.About the roleProvide clinical specialist Rehabilitation Medicine support to the Complex Management Unit, making a substantial contribution to the development of a culture of medical education and safe, effective patient-centered clinical practice.Provide medical leadership and contribution to the multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of secure and appropriate patient care. Provide professional leadership within a specialist medical discipline and provide training, supervision and education to junior medical staff and other health care professionals.Requirements for the roleEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.Tuberculosis screening - to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.MBBS or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia plus FAFRM or equivalent acceptable to the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and registrable as a Rehabilitation Medicine specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Candidates will be considered if they are anticipated to receive their Fellowship prior to March 2027.Ongoing registration with the AFRM of RACP as a Supervisor to Advanced Trainees in Rehabilitation Medicine.Certified copies of relevant qualification/s and registration must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager,
