Duty Manager – Bar, Events & Late-Night Operations

Lead the night at one of Fortitude Valley's most dynamic venues

n

The Beaumont is a two-level hospitality and entertainment destination in the heart of Fortitude Valley.

n

Upstairs, The Beaumont Beer Garden offers rooftop dining, cocktails, poolside drinks, stone-fired pizzas and private functions.

n

Downstairs, our 800pax Main Room hosts live music, DJs, late night events, corporate functions and private celebrations.

n

We are looking for an experienced, confident and hands-on Duty Manager with strong club, entertainment or late-night venue experience. You will take ownership of evening and late-night operations, lead the team from the front and ensure every event runs safely, smoothly and professionally.

This role is ideal for a manager who understands fast-paced nightlife, can confidently coordinate multiple departments and remains calm when the venue is at full capacity.

What you'll do

n

n
- Lead bar, live entertainment, function and late-night trading shifts
n
- Take responsibility for the safe and successful operation of the venue
n
- Coordinate bar, floor, kitchen, security, entertainment and event teams
n
- Work closely with DJs, performers, promoters, function organisers and contractors
n
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and allocate staff across multiple service areas
n
- Monitor crowd behaviour, patron intoxication and venue capacity
n
- Support security with refusals of service, patron removals and incident management
n
- Ensure RSA, liquor licensing, workplace safety and venue procedures are followed
n
- Resolve guest complaints and operational issues quickly and professionally
n
- Maintain high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness and venue readiness
n
- Manage opening and closing procedures, cash reconciliation and end-of-shift reporting
n
- Complete incident reports, handovers and other required venue documentation
n




- Coach, motivate and develop staff during busy services
n
- Respond confidently to unexpected changes, high-volume arrivals and operational pressure
n

About you

n

You are a visible, practical leader who is comfortable making decisions and taking control of a busy venue.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- At least two years' experience in a Duty Manager, Club Manager, Night Manager or similar leadership role
n
- Strong experience in nightclubs, live entertainment, large events or late-night hospitality
n
- Confidence managing high-volume trade and large patron numbers
n
- Experience working with security teams and handling patron-related incidents
n
- Strong knowledge of RSA, liquor licensing and late-night venue compliance
n
- Experience managing bars, functions, entertainment and floor operations
n
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
n
- A calm and qualified approach under pressure
n
- Strong cash-handling, closing and reporting skills
n
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to support the team wherever required
n
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and late-night shifts
n
- Current RMLV certificate
n
- Current Queensland Approved Manager Licence
n
- Full Australian working rights
