Prostrip Sandblasting is one of Victoria's leading providers of abrasive blasting and protective coatings, servicing the infrastructure, construction, mining, marine and industrial sectors.

We're looking for a motivated Junior Abrasive Blaster & Industrial Coater who is eager to learn, enjoys physical work, and wants to build a trade in a growing industry. No previous blasting experience is required—we're looking for the right attitude and commitment.

n

For the right person, we will provide full on-the-job training and support you in completing a Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application (Abrasive Blasting & Industrial Coating).

About the Role

n

Working alongside experienced blasters and industrial painters, you will learn all aspects of the trade including:

n

Abrasive blasting of steel, concrete and industrial structures

n

Surface preparation including grinding, sanding and masking

n

Assisting with industrial protective coating applications

n

Setting up equipment, blast pots, compressors and work areas

n

Loading and unloading equipment and materials

n

Assisting with containment, dust control and site setup

n

Operating safely in both workshop and onsite environments

n

Completing basic equipment maintenance and housekeeping

n

Working across Melbourne with occasional regional travel

n

Every day is different,



with projects ranging from structural steel and bridges to commercial buildings, infrastructure and industrial facilities.

What We're Looking For

n

Current Manual Driver's Licence

n

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

n

Physically fit and comfortable performing manual labour

n

Reliable, punctual and safety focused

n

Positive attitude and ability to work within a team

n

Willingness to work both onsite and in our Sunshine West workshop

n

Highly Regarded

n

Medium Rigid (MR) or Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Licence

n

Construction Industry White Card

n

Experience using power tools or working in construction, manufacturing or trades

n
