We’re looking for a API Integration Architect to shape the integration strategy and API ecosystem for a growing technology product.

This is a big-picture architecture role where you’ll define how the product connects with partners, vendors and external platforms, while establishing the standards and architecture needed to scale integrations efficiently.

What you’ll do

- Own the API and integration architecture strategy .
- Define reusable integration patterns, standards and API specifications.
- Establish and maintain the API register / integration catalogue .
- Shape API portals, developer experience and partner onboarding.
- Design scalable integrations across APIs, events, data and partner systems.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering and external partners.
- Identify opportunities to use AI to accelerate integration development , mapping, documentation and testing.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers and architects.

What we’re looking for

- 10+ years’ experience across software, integration or enterprise architecture .
- Solid background in API and integration architecture .
- Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, Azure API Management or AWS API Gateway .
- Strong understanding of API security, integration patterns, event-driven architecture and data contracts.
- Experience working with external partners and commercial/customer-facing APIs .
- Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using AI within integration or software development is highly desirable.
- Engineering background is welcomed - you should be comfortable going deep technically when required.
