- Develop end-to-end architecture, solutions, and use cases for a large-scale transformation program, enabling automation, efficiency, and measurable productivity gains.
- Design solutions spanning custom-built applications, COTS products, and multi-cloud environments, applying modern patterns including microservices, event-driven architecture, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, implementable architecture that balances innovation with pragmatism, stability, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all architectural decisions robustly address non-functional requirements — performance, resilience, security, scalability, and maintainability.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Delivery Enablement
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to align designs, present solutions clearly, and enable seamless, high-quality execution.
- Lead architecture working sessions and design reviews, acting as a trusted advisor to both business and IT leadership throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Support and mentor delivery teams, providing hands‑on guidance on architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices.
Program Governance & Risk Management
- Drive early-stage estimations, risk identification, and dependency mapping to support informed business decisions and planning activities.
- Own architecture roadmaps and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) contributions, maintaining a clear picture of current‑state, target‑state, and migration paths with explicit dependencies.
- Champion architecture best practices, manage governance and architecture repositories, and continuously improve design quality, compliance, and maintainability.
AI & Productivity Innovation
- Identify and architect use cases leveraging Agentic AI, automation, and data-driven insights to deliver year‑on‑year productivity improvements for the bank.
- Apply AI‑enabled SDLC practices to improve development efficiency, accelerate delivery, and reduce technical debt across the program.
- Stay current with emerging architecture trends, tools, and patterns — proactively introducing relevant innovations that create competitive advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant years of overall IT experience, with years in a dedicated solution or enterprise architecture role, including hands‑on delivery experience.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise‑grade solutions at scale, ideally within financial services, banking, or other regulated industries.
- Experience architecting for large transformation program involving diverse, complex system landscapes — including legacy monolithic applications, COTS products, and modern cloud‑native platforms.
- Track record of driving productivity improvements and measurable business outcomes through technology architecture.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in solution architecture frameworks, cloud design principles, and up-to-date architectural patterns — microservices, event‑driven, REST/SOAP, enterprise integration patterns.
- Deep understanding of non‑functional requirements: performance engineering, resilience and fault tolerance, security‑by‑design, and scalability patterns.
- Multi‑cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) with the ability to design for cloud‑native and hybrid environments.
- Good understanding of AI and data architecture, including practical experience with AI‑driven use cases, GenAI tooling, and intelligent automation.
- Familiarity with modern SDLC practices and how AI can be leveraged to accelerate development, testing, and deployment cycles.
Soft Skills & Mindset
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication,
and influencing skills — equally effective with business leaders, technical delivery teams, and executive audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and cut through complexity to deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
- Collaborative, accountable, and outcome‑oriented — capable of owning architecture decisions end‑to‑end and driving them to completion.
- Passionate about continuous improvement, design quality, and the responsible use of technology to create real‑world business value.
