About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Platform Operations Lead to provide operational and technical leadership for a complex, business-critical enterprise Salesforce/CRM platform.

The role will lead a team of Senior Platform Engineers and work closely with architecture, testing, release management, cyber security, digital delivery and external vendors to ensure platform stability, security and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of Senior Platform Engineers, including work allocation, mentoring, training and capability uplift.
- Provide operational leadership and accountability for a complex Salesforce platform.
- Develop, document and implement processes to improve platform support and enablement.
- Lead major incident response, troubleshooting and service restoration activities.
- Coordinate platform releases, testing, stakeholder sign-offs and Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities.
- Manage risks, dependencies and multiple parallel release trains.
- Work closely with internal ICT teams, business stakeholders and external vendors.
- Drive continuous improvement across platform stability, support processes and operational performance.
- Champion proactive security patching, penetration testing and security maturity assessments.




- Partner with Cyber Operations and Cyber GRC teams to strengthen platform security.
- Promote a collaborative team culture focused on knowledge sharing, accountability and continuous improvement.
- 5+ years' experience leading and managing ICT support/operations teams.
- Solid experience supporting or managing complex CRM or enterprise business platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in process development, documentation and implementation.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management capability.
- Proven experience in major incident management, change governance and release coordination.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly information.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD and platform enablement.
- Experience leading senior technical/support engineers.

Highly Desirable

- Deep Salesforce expertise, particularly Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and integrations.
- Salesforce certifications.
- Experience leading teams of 10+ technical resources.
- Experience with GitLab, Splunk, Jira, Confluence and SAP.
- Experience working within complex Federal Government environments like the NDIA
- Experience supporting large-scale, business-critical platforms with significant customer impact.
