We are looking for an experienced and passionate Health & Safety Advisor for a major wind farm construction project located in the Rockhampton, Queensland region.
n Reporting to our HSE Senior Manager, you will provide health and safety advice, support and direction to our project delivery team on all HSE related matters.
n
Key responsibilities:
n
You will support the Site Manager for all Health & Safety aspects of the project and ensure all works are completed in accordance with required contract conditions, standards/regulations and company procedures
n
Positively influence the health and safety culture and performance of the project
n
Broad WHS skill set including auditing risk management, investigations,
systems implementation and injury management
n
Ability to manage and communicate risk effectively
n
SWMS Development and review
n
HSE Investigations and reporting
n
Safety interactions, compliance checks
n
Required skills, competencies and qualities:
n
You will have a relevant Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety combined with experience on large construction projects
n
Experience in dealing with peers and project personnel in Health & Safety
n
Current GWO BST
n
Construction Induction (White Card)
n
Solid work ethic with a can do attitude
n
Great communication skills both written and verbal, and the ability to work with stakeholders both internally and externally
n
Current Advanced First Aid training
n
Wind Industry experience - advantageous
