Experienced Production Operators wanted in Tullamarine, VIC

Our client is a global manufacturer of paints, coatings, and specialty materials. They operate globally, in 70 different countries. We are seeking for a production operator to join the team on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition to permanent.

n

Successful applicants will also be trained to work in other areas such as packing paint related products when required, however the process and equipment is very similar in most areas.

n

About your new role / Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Pay rate of $33.38hr including casual loading.
n
- Blend and color match coatings for customer needs.
n
- Record weights and volumes.
n
- Clean machines and accessories.
n
- Read production orders and accurately interpret volume and weight of required chemical ingredients.
n
- Pour or transfer product into containers by using spatulas, scrapers etc.
n
- Follow all prescribed operating and equipment handling procedures.
n
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
n

Qualifications and Experience

n

n
- Must be able to effectively read, write,



and communicate in English and to follow written and verbal instructions.
n
- Candidate must have basic mathematical skills.
n
- Paint manufacturing and color matching experience is helpful but not required.
n
- Basic computer skills required.
n
- An interest to expand on skills and knowledge - willing to learn!
n
- Must be reliable and available to commit to Monday - Friday.
n
- Willing to assist the paint makers in day to day operations
n
- Strong attention to detail.
n
- Punctual and reliable.
n
