n Salary range: $79,500 - $86,600 + Superannuation

About This Role
n
On behalf of our client, we are pleased to introduce a warm and nurturing early learning centre located in Arana Hills. The centre is dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of learning through a supportive, play-based environment where every child is encouraged to explore, grow, and develop confidence.
n Operating as a close-knit community, the centre accommodates children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. It is committed to the highest standards, consistently meeting the National Quality Standard to deliver exceptional care and education
n
Key Duties & Responsibilities
n
Program Delivery & Child Development:
n
n
- Design and implement stimulating educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
n
- Facilitate intentional teaching moments through play-based activities including storytelling, music, art and sensory exploration
n
- Observe and document children's progress to support individual learning goals and share insights with families
n
- Guide social-emotional development by modelling positive behaviour and conflict resolution strategies
n
n
Daily Care & Wellbeing:
n
n
- Maintain impeccable hygiene standards including nappy changing, toileting assistance and mealtime supervision
n
- Create predictable routines that provide children with emotional security while allowing flexibility for spontaneous learning
n
- Conduct thorough safety checks of indoor/outdoor environments and resources before activities
n
- Administer first aid when required and follow health management plans for children with additional needs
n
n
Family & Community Engagement:
n
n
- Build trusting relationships with families through daily conversations and formal progress updates
n
- Collaborate with room leaders to create displays that make children's learning visible to parents
n
- Participate in community events and centre initiatives that strengthen family connections
n
n
Compliance & Professionalism:
n
n
- Maintain current working with children check - first aid certification and relevant qualifications
n
- Contribute to quality improvement processes through reflective practice
n
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance practice
n
n
Skills & Requirements
n
n
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
n
- Proven 1-year minimum experience in long day care or similar setting.
n
- Demonstrated knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Standards
n
- Genuine passion for early childhood development with endless patience and creativity
n
- Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates as well as proof of vaccination
n
- Working with children rights
n
- Police check
n
- Strong communication skills to engage with children, colleagues and families
n
- References from previous employers
n
