Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join a high performing technology team delivering critical cloud platform capabilities within a leading financial services organisation.

This role is ideal for a Cloud Platform Engineer rather than a Data Engineer. You'll be responsible for building, automating and optimising cloud platforms that enable scalable, secure and resilient solutions across modern cloud environments.

As a Platform Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and enhancing cloud platforms while driving automation, reliability and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with engineering, architecture and product teams to deliver enterprise-scale platform solutions that support business-critical workloads.

n

You'll contribute to long-term platform strategy while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and built using modern engineering practices.

n

We're looking for someone with strong cloud engineering experience who can operate in complex enterprise environments.

- 8+ years' experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or DevOps within large enterprise environments.
n
- Strong Python scripting skills.
n
- Hands-on Terraform experience (essential).
n
- Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and deployment tools such as Helm or Kustomize.
n
- Linux administration and automation using tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
n
- Experience working with cloud services across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
n
- Understanding of cloud security, governance and operational best practices.
n
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
n
