The Opportunity
A large, global organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join its commercial finance team on an initial 6-month contract.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, this role will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing commercial finance support, analysis and insight to drive improved performance and decision-making.
This is a hands‑on role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who can quickly understand a complex business, build credibility with stakeholders and add value from day one.
The Challenge
As Finance Business Partner, your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with senior financial and non-financial stakeholders to provide commercial finance support and guidance
- Delivering insightful analysis across financial performance, identifying key trends, risks and opportunities
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and planning processes, including challenging assumptions and improving forecast accuracy
- Providing detailed P&L; analysis,
variance commentary and recommendations to support business performance
- Translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
- Supporting business cases, commercial initiatives and key projects across the organisation
- Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, cost management and operational efficiency
- Building strong relationships across the business and providing additional commercial finance support throughout the contract period
The Expertise
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- CA or CPA Qualified
- Exposure to a large, complex or multi-site organisation with proven ability to partner with non-financial stakeholders
- Previous experience within Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, FP&A; or Management Accounting
- Robust budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting capability
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand the key drivers of business performance
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to quickly understand a new business and operate effectively with limited supervision
- Availability to commence at short notice is required
