Explore a rewarding career in Urgent Care. Flexible full-time, part-time or ad hoc shifts, excellent clinical support, formal training provided, and no prior Urgent Care experience required.
GP Position | Full time | Epping, VIC
Looking for something a little different from traditional general practice and maybe you've wondered what it's like to work in Urgent Care?
Maybe you've heard colleagues talking about it. Maybe you're looking for something a little different from traditional general practice. Or perhaps you simply want to add some variety to your week to replace your existing clinic work.
Our dedicated rostering team is looking for Vocationally Registered GPs to join our Urgent Care team in in Melbourne's north, with opportunities to work full-time, part-time or simply pick up the occasional shift when it suits you.
Why do GPs enjoy working in Urgent Care?
Urgent Care offers the best of both worlds. You continue to use your general practice skills while seeing a wide variety of acute presentations that keep every shift interesting.
- A fast-paced, hands-on clinical environment
- Managing acute illnesses, injuries and procedures
- Flexible shifts that fit around your current GP work and lifestyle
- Full time, part-time and casual opportunities
- Strong clinical governance and support from experienced Urgent Care teams
- The chance to expand your emergency medicine skills in a supportive setting
Never worked in Urgent Care? That's perfectly okay!
We also offer formal urgent care training that runs regularly throughout the year for our existing and emerging workforce, including workshops (fracture management, burns etc.) and ALS courses.
Many of our doctors come straight from traditional general practice. You don't need previous Urgent Care experience, and we'll help you make the transition.
From day one you'll be supported by experienced nursing staff, established clinical pathways, comprehensive onboarding and approachable clinical leaders who are there whenever you need them.
