Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.
ANI plays a pivotal role in delivering Australia’s naval shipbuilding capability, contributing to one of the nation’s most significant and complex infrastructure programs. Based in Adelaide, our work underpins the future of naval shipbuilding through world-class infrastructure at Osborne.
ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Assurance Manager to join our Risk Services Team in Adelaide. Reporting to the Head of Risk, you will manage ANI’s risk assurance and compliance program, including compliance management, the Risk Assurance Review program, and outsourced internal audit function.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and manage ANI’s compliance framework, including the provision of an assurance program and the management of ANI’s technical compliance management system.
- Manage and conduct ANI’s Risk Assurance Review program, to provide assurance to stakeholders that ANI’s risks are being identified and managed in accordance with relevant internal and external requirements and better practices.
- Provide management of ANI’s outsourced internal audit function.
- Manage and provide assurance over ANI’s internal audit management actions program, to ensure progress against identified actions is evidenced and delivered in a timely manner.
- Coordination of other audit and assurance activities that may be undertaken as directed.
- Provision of quality reporting on relevant matters to the Executive and to the Audit and Risk Committee.
About You:
You will be an experienced risk and assurance qualified with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders. You will bring a proactive and practical approach, with the ability to manage complex assurance activities, communicate clearly and deliver high-quality outcomes in a project or program environment.
You will also have:
- Australian citizenship and otherwise eligible to obtain and maintain any required security clearances required for a Defence related facility.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant area (e.g. insurance, finance, business).
- A minimum of ten years (or equivalent) relevant risk and assurance experience, ideally within a project or program management context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with a positive, proactive and innovative attitude.
- Applicants must be able to either hold or be able to gain and maintain an appropriate national security clearance. Applicants will be required to consent to background checks.
