The Role

As the Community Buildings and Partnerships Lead, you will play a key role in the strategic management and future planning of Council's community facilities portfolio, including kindergartens, early learning centres, community halls, libraries and neighbourhood houses. You will lead a team responsible for asset planning, utilisation monitoring, auditing, project support and stakeholder engagement to ensure community infrastructure is sustainable, effective and responsive to community needs. Working collaboratively across Council and with external partners, you will provide expert advice, drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the delivery of high-quality community outcomes.

About You





You are an experienced leader with a background in project, contract or asset management, ideally within community infrastructure, building projects or local government. You have solid analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, budgets and complex stakeholder relationships. A confident communicator, you can translate technical information into practical advice and build positive partnerships with community groups, contractors and internal teams. You are proactive, solutions-focused and passionate about creating well-planned community spaces that support connection, inclusion and community wellbeing.

This role requires a satisfactory police records check and employee Working with Children Check.
