Technology, Media & Telecommunications team

The Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice group is a tier 1 practice covering the full spectrum of matters including media and broadcasting, film and entertainment, telecommunications, information technology, outsourcing, e-commerce, advertising, marketing, privacy and data protection.

Position Description

This role will see you working closely with Australia's leading TMT partners with considerable exposure to the national practice. You will be working on some of Australia's largest and most significant technology deals, as well as assist small internet start-ups with their unique legal requirements. You will act on both sides of outsourcing negotiations, for vendors and purchasers of technology businesses, for software and hardware suppliers and customers.

Key Requirements





Our client is looking for a lawyer with 4 - 8 years experience who has broad commercial and IT exposure. Ideally, you will have some experience with the telecommunications industry from a notable practice in Australia or another English speaking jurisdiction.

You will be exposed to a broad array of industry sector transactions and the role will afford excellent client interaction.

In addition, you will have:

- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- superior drafting ability;
- a commercial approach and an ability to negotiate effectively; and
- an ability to be team-focused and also work independently.
