The CCR Group, including Plus 3 Consultants (Malaysia & Hong Kong), is a leading contract, commercial and claims consultancy supporting major contractors, principals and project teams across Australia and the APAC region.

Due to an immediate project requirement and a strong pipeline of major infrastructure work, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Claims Consultant to join our Sydney team.

This is a senior, hands-on role requiring someone who can step into a live project environment and independently take ownership of complex contractual claims. You will be expected to investigate the issues, establish entitlement, develop the claims strategy and manage submissions through negotiation and resolution.

This is not a general contract administration role. We need an experienced claims practitioner who can contribute immediately and operate with minimal supervision.

The Role You will autonomously manage complex construction claims across major infrastructure projects, working directly with senior project leadership, commercial teams, planners, legal advisers and technical specialists.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently manage claims from initial investigation through preparation, submission, negotiation and resolution
- Develop claim strategy, entitlement arguments and substantiation requirements
- Prepare and defend complex EOT, delay, disruption, acceleration, variation and loss-and-expense claims
- Analyse contracts, correspondence, programme information, cost records and contemporaneous project evidence
- Quantify and substantiate claims in collaboration with planning, quantum and technical specialists
- Draft clear, persuasive and contractually robust claim submissions
- Lead claims meetings and negotiations with clients, contractors and other stakeholders
- Support adjudication, arbitration,



mediation and expert-led dispute processes where required
- Provide practical, strategic advice to senior project and commercial leadership
- Establish priorities and maintain momentum across multiple contentious matters without close supervision

Core Competencies

- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Significant senior-level experience in construction claims, commercial management or contract management
- Demonstrated experience personally preparing and managing substantial contractual claims
- Proven ability to autonomously own a claim from investigation through to resolution
- Strong contractor-side experience on major infrastructure or high-value construction projects
- Tier 1 contractor or specialist claims consultancy experience highly regarded
- Strong capability across EOT, delay, disruption, acceleration, variations, quantum and contractual entitlement
- Practical understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and project delivery
- Experience in major civils, tunnelling, rail, transport, utilities, power or energy projects
- Excellent written claims preparation, analysis and stakeholder-management skills
- Able to commence immediately or at short notice
