About the Role

Location: Mackay, QLD

Remuneration : Ranging $140,000 - $160,000 per year

Workdays: Monday to Friday

Option of Company Car or Car Allowance

Company Phone supplied

What You'll Do

As an Operations Manager – Domestic Council Contracts you will be a key point of contract and responsible to manage the relationships between our operations and our customers.

We're looking for someone with a sense of urgency, a natural people leader with a strong customer service focus and the ability to see the bigger picture, set objectives and deliver results.

Our successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with the ability to establish goals and support the team to achieve them.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the operations management team for the council collections in the region

Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.





Delivering the overall operations strategy and drive ongoing improvement initiatives

Lead, mentor and motivate the team

Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements

Maintain a culture of safety first

What You'll Bring

Demonstrated experience within transport, logistics or similar operational environment

Demonstrated strong leadership, organisational and communication skills

Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Accounting or Business (preferred, but not essential)

An approachable, authentic and supportive leader mindset, willing to roll up your sleeves and spend time out of the office and on site with the team

A proven commitment to workplace health and safety and continuous improvement

Experience being able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure

HR Licence (preferred, but not essential)
