About the role

n

Simpson Industries is a Bayswater-based architectural sheet metal workshop specialising in high-end residential and commercial work. We're looking for an experienced fabricator to join a young, motivated team that takes genuine pride in its workmanship.

n

You'll be fabricating high-end architectural metalwork — shrouds, trims, cappings, balustrades, canopies and bespoke feature pieces — in aluminium, steel, stainless and exotic metals. The work is varied and the quality standard is high, supported by modern in-house equipment including laser cutting, folding and dedicated fabrication jig benches.

Key responsibilities

- Fabricate and assemble components working from architectural shop drawings
n
- MIG and TIG weld to a high finish standard
n
- Set up and work from dedicated fabrication jig benches
n
- Carry out accurate measurements and quality checks throughout the process
n
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area in line with WHS requirements
n
- Work with the production team to meet deadlines without compromising on quality
n

About you

n

n
- Competent and confident in MIG and TIG welding
n
- Experienced in architectural or high-end fabrication
n
- Motivated,



with solid attention to detail and genuine pride in your work
n
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
n
- Based in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, or within a reasonable commute for a 6:00am start
n
- Reliable, with a current driver's licence
n

Sheet metal workers and boilermakers are both welcome to apply.

n

Desirable (not essential): a trade qualification in sheet metal or fabrication, exposure to CAD or laser/CNC, and a current first aid certificate.

- $40–$50+ per hour, depending on experience
