What's On Offer

- Base salary from $216,300 to $310,389 (based on experience)
n
- Private Patient Scheme (PPS): Earn up to 35% additional salary on top of base + on-call

About the Role

n

Join a high-performing, collegiate department delivering a wide range of anaesthesia services, with an emphasis on cardiac surgery and TOE. This is a 600‐bed teaching hospital with a diverse caseload including:

n

- Cardiac (incl. coronary artery and valve surgery)
n
- Trauma and neuro
n
- Vascular and major general surgery
n




- Obstetrics and high‐risk cases
n

n

You Will

n

n
- Deliver specialist anaesthetic care with a focus on cardiac surgery
n
- Perform and interpret transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE)
n
- Participate in on‐call roster, research, and teaching through links with the University of Tasmania and Menzies Institute
n

n

Who We're Looking For

n

n
- Fellowship of ANZCA or equivalent (FANZCA, FRCA, FCAI)
n
- Subspecialty training in cardiac anaesthesia
n
- Experience with intraoperative TOE
n
- Eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA, or via the Specialist Pathway for IMGs
n
- Recent experience in a tertiary setting preferred
n
