Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Town Planning Consultant to join our medium-sized architectural practice and become part of our dynamic team of architects.

About the Role

n

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated planner with a minimum of 3 years' experience in town planning, particularly in residential developments. You will play a key role in managing planning applications and working closely with our architects, clients, and local councils to deliver successful planning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Manage town planning applications from lodgement through to determination.
n
- Liaise with local councils, referral authorities, and clients.
n
- Prepare town planning reports and supporting documentation.
n
- Respond to Council Requests for Further Information (RFIs).
n
- Provide advice to architects on planning schemes, planning controls, and relevant planning codes.
n
- Assist project teams in achieving compliant and practical planning outcomes.
n

About You

n

n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in town planning.
n
- Demonstrated experience in residential planning and development applications.
n
- Solid knowledge of Victorian planning legislation and local planning schemes.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and council officers.
n
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
n
- A relevant qualification in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
