We are currently looking for a passionate and highly dedicated applicant to join our Culinary Team as a Junior Sous Chef in The Star Sydney.

n

The salary on offer for this role is $86,400.20 inclusive of superannuation ($77,143.04 + 12% super).

n

A few of your responsibilities:

n

n
- Be accountable for supervising a section of the kitchen
n
- Train staff at lower levels, coach, and guide employees to perform kitchen operations
n
- Handle and follow up on all incidents immediately, and report accurately
n
- Maintain food cost to parameters given by the company
n
- Keep outlet ahead of HACCP standards
n

What we are looking for:

n

n
- Solid experience as Demi Chef/Chef de Partie and relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
n
- Experience working in a busy, fast‐paced kitchen environment
n
- Strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Ability to commit to 40 hours per week, working wide-ranging shifts, including weekends and holidays
n
